This place was exactly what I expected for the price point, even slightly better. Facilities were clean, the kitchen was great, breakfast was decent, all staff were helpful and friendly. I also just want to say that I was in the room when the “incident” occurred with the guy who wrote a negative review on 17/5/24. I don’t know exactly what happened because I missed the beginning of the argument but he was being absolutely awful, yelling and cursing at the poor hostel employee. Hostel Etiquette 101 is that you take the bed you’re assigned and don’t whine about it. No one wants to sleep next the bathroom but someone has to. I also don’t know what he was doing holding his mattress…? That doesn’t make any sense. Having been there it seemed like he was trying to start trouble. He then yelled at the employee in the hostel common space for probably close to an hour before finally agreeing to get the f*** out. Good riddance. To that employee: you handled the situation professionally and I’m sorry you had to deal with that horrible person.

The staff at the hostel are great! I arrived a few hours early dead tired from traveling and they did everything they could to get my room ready sooner. In the meantime, they gave me a blanket and sent me to a nice quiet area of the hostel to take a nap. So kind. On top of that, they were very helpful with all my questions and eager to help. They even gave me a metro card to get around the city because it'd been left behind. Truly such kind people I couldn't recommend this hostel more for the staff alone! Outside of the staff though the location is unbeatable. You're easy walking distance to Parque Forrestal, Bellas Artes, Cerro Santa Lucia, Cerro San Cristobal (all must dos/sees) and tons of tasty cafes. Highly recommend!! Also breakfast was much better than I expected!

We stayed stayed here twice and really liked the hostel! For our second stay we had a double bed room which was really spacious and super nice, free towels included and you can borrow a hair dryer. The shared bathrooms are always super clean and the water was always hot. The location of the hostel is perfect in a quiet street, close to the popular areas of the city and the metro. The couch and terrace on the first floor as well as the breakfast area and the TV room are quite cool to just chill. The kitchen is very well equipped and big. The breakfast is super nice! Also the staff are all very helpful, open and nice. We left for a three week trip to Costa Rica and were able to store our luggage for a small fee, which was great.

I have been in this hostel a couple of times and whenever I come back to Santiago it will definitively be my first option! The whole reception and cleaning staff are amazingly friendly and nice, always made me feel home. It has really nice common areas, a very complete kitchen, hot water, good wifi, a cozy tv room and I enjoyed the Pisco Sour / Terremoto nights. I met many awesome people during my stays in this hostel. I love the hostel’s location just in front of Parque Forestal and Baquedano metro station, there’s plenty to do walking distance. I will come back anytime soon!!! Thanks for everything!

Kevin

Good location, a few minutes walk away from several restaurants and from the local park but not noisy at night. Rooms were clean and spacious enough given it was a hostel. Staff very friendly and willing to help us. Breakfast basic but good, coffee not always available. Overall enjoyable stay.
